I don’t know, man… I have never been a big “technology protection” fan. It always seems like a prudent idea, but what am I really protecting if from? After a year, there is ALWAYS a better, faster, cooler version out anyhow, and it is not like I am going to keep this thing forever anyhow. And in addition, the case ALWAYS adds bulk to your sleek new toy, and the reason why I pay a premium for say an iPhone is because of the sleek proportions.
Plus—and I think I am not in the majority on this—I kinda like the little dings and scratches on my tech. It makes it mine, and adds a little humanity to typically otherwise glossy perfection.
Granted, I am particularly careful with all my tech, and I am not usually a very clumsy person, so I can mostly keep a device in fairly good shape just by being careful. And I do tend to cover the screen with some film-like protection (because there is nothing like a scratch across your field of vision).
