Being independent is a great thing and since you’re here you probably agree. We’re compiling information on the top independent cities in the country and thought we would put it to you, our readers.

Many considerations are going into the process of deciding our lists, like how independent business friendly the city is, the amount of indie culture is found there (music, art, fashion, etc.) and amount of chains allowed among other things. But we’d also like to know your thoughts.

We’ll let you know the results on this blog and take your thoughts into consideration when we decide on the best indie cities around the country. Have fun with it and stay indie!
