   According to my Google Timeline search this is inaccurate as I can find instances of “Indie-Pendence Day” dating back to 2000.

   Just sayin… =)

   As a side note, i should mention, it’s not the use of the word, it’s using INDIEpendence day as a campaign for Independence day after you’ve been spreading your campaign around for a while. But keep the info coming.
