Politics as usual for independents in Pennsylvania

When you're an independent you have to pay attention year round. We are lucky to even be able to vote in most primaries.....but there is an effort across the country and going on right now in Pennsylvania to change all that. Penn Here's some news from independentvoters.org This is a great opportunity for the independent movement to impact.  If we can open the primaries in Pennsylvania, it will provide momentum for other local efforts. Here's the good news: Five special IndependentVoting.org supporters - David Ellis,  Jim Greene, Susie Hagemeister, Matthew Meiners and anonymous - have established an Open Primaries Campaign Fund by each making a $2,500 matching gift. Here's the deal: these five supporters are offering to match every dollar you give until we reach $25,000.
With your help and their challenge gift, we will have a modest fund to help us expand our "independent-to-independent" organizing and broaden our grassroots media campaign in Pennsylvania. Give now so that we can double the size of your contribution.  Give now so that we can reach thousands of independent-minded Pennsylvanians and activate them to support HB 1672.  Give now so that we can make the voice of independents heard! The majority of Americans favor open primaries and other reforms that reduce the toxic impact of partisan politics.  We have a great opportunity to make that statement loud and clear.  Thank you so much for your support. Most Sincerely, John Opdycke and Naomi Azulay Campaign Coordinators PS - You must make your donation before July 15th to take advantage of our match.  Please don't wait!
