I’m not sure about you guys but I grew up in the time where deejaying was coming into it’s own in the world. DMC the Olympics for deejays was looked forward to every year and every year there were new tricks, personalities and lets not forget DVD’s to buy. The scene was driven mostly by DVD and live shows because there was no other way to see it. Crews like the Scratch Pickles, Xecutioners, and the Beat Junkies to name a few and before long DJ Craze and A-Track were running things (runnit).
Well known during those times but not so much since were the Scratch Perverts, an awesome duo from accross the pond. They were known for using the eq’s (knobs) just as much as the fader. To see them doing their things now is pretty fresh….especially now that technology has caught up enough to help them show their music to people in a way they can understand it visually and music listeners are so familiar with turntables that they’re ready to take in more of what turntablist have to offer. So without further adeu…….
