Bloomberg thinks like a political independent!
bloomberg-630-wide Lets get this one right before we get to the year 2020. We need more independent offerings and more importantly to move towards a system that at least resembles a plurality. Michael Bloomberg having run for mayor as an independent in his first campaign see's the perils of the two party system. Jackie Salit the leader of the independentvoting.org ran his first campaign so what he's saying below can't all be rhetoric.

The mayor said on his WOR-AM radio show Friday that the election issue may be his biggest regret as he reflects on his 12-year tenure. He leaves office Dec. 31. The Republican-turned-independent mayor says an unaffiliated voter "doesn't get a real, practical chance" to participate. He says in an overwhelmingly Democratic city, "it's only the primary that matters." With that said, no Democrat had won the mayor's office in a generation before Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio.
