Out of our pocket and into theirs!

Yesterday in the Senate, 6 Republicans joined 44 Democrats and one Independent-Democrat in voting to release the second $350 billion tranche of financial bailout money to be used by the incoming Obama Administration. They did so without attaching any new requirements as to how the money is to be spent or how information about the government’s bailout activities are shared with the public. It’s a fast changing world and we’ve been keeping pace over here at LEGENDmag. Over the past year we have tripled our online visitors, doubled our readership, acquired an extremely respectable page rank, and doubled our staff size. To say that we’re growing would be an understatement.

To say that we have had some growing pains would be the spot-on truth. Our most recent issue has been pushed back while dealing with all of the new challenges that have faced us this year, in addition to our tremendous growth. We do apologize for not being able to deliver on time as it has become a great sense of pride for us to do so. However we do promise that what you will receive will be worth the wait.

In the next few weeks we’re going to be talking a lot of politics and getting you ready to cast your vote on November 4th . We’re also uping the ante by presenting our Presidential Beatdown feature (above) from the coming issue 23 listing all the candidates and our uniquely independent take on major and independent party candidates. We even pick the winner! This isn’t an endorsement by any means but it’s definitely a tell sign of where we think the independents are leading us.

And so it begins, the back and forth of the brand wars. Brand killers have seen a strength in people using Obams’ propaganda and are making some of their own. What? Obama is a brand? Wait, Obama is a person? Well yes and yes. There is a guy name Obama running from President and there is also a shit load of branding being done that makes him into a caricature of who he is. Hey it comes with the territory. Although we still haven’t endorsed anyone, make sure you take a look at ALL the candidates. (Want to get an idea of where you stand? See the Political Compass post).
