Zoo Dork.

A while ago, a mysterious blog popped up, at dontbelievethehypebeast.com. It was a pretty humorous look into the over-hype that unfortunately plagues this newly named thing called “streetwear.” The blog was essentially a parody of the whole interconnected community of brands and hype, which was honestly really funny, refreshing and true.
Anyhow, the site vanished abruptly one day, leaving us all wondering who the mystery bloggers would diss next. Well, apparently after some digging around, and probably some loose lips, it’s been determined who the culprit was.

Read here.

Undr-Crwn does it again!

Ballers of all kinds and fans from across the world. Pay close attention to making sure you have the exclusive basketball leather seat in your home. The word from Undr-Crwn “The cushions are made from authentic Spaulding microfiber basketball material and is the same that they are using on the new NBA balls next season.” You just can’t front of that people.

Biting is the new black.

Think that your new shirt from Urban Outfitters is that cutting edge, new sh* t?

For years, large companies have been doing heavy research on the designs and trends that are bubbling on the cutting edge. Companies such as Urban Outfitters and H&M simply scout out the design that they forsee making an impact, then coincidentally release something very similar, but on a huge platform, thanks to their distribution and retail platforms. Don’t get me wrong- lots of design heavily samples elements and iconic imagery, especially from popular culture, creating its own sense of conceptual design. However, sampling turns to BITING, once that concept is merely lifted, duplicated and produced.

Example:

Johnny Cupcakes (original design)

Urban Outfitters (BITE!!!!)

Microsoft vs Apple let the wars begin!

zune

In case you didn’t know or haven’t heard by now Microsoft has a new MP3 player called the Zune. Here’s the break down. 30mb, Zune to Zune Wifi music sharing - ummm hello!!, Subscription based service instead of song by song purchase service (all you can download with subscription service), FM tuner and alot more.

Now i wouldn’t go as far as to say this is an Ipod killer or anything like that but i would definately say that the Zune won’t be going anywhere and that the Ipod will have to share the market with a big fish like Microsoft. We’ll have to wait and see but so far so good.

Banksy x Danger Mouse x Paris Hilton damn!

One of the best pranks to be pulled off in modern times has been officially launched into the hall of fame (ok not really but check it). Banksy (designer) made a Paris Hilton cd cover, insert, and art so that it would be undistinguishable unless you looked really close (check her boobs on the cover). The best part is that people who buy this version of the album, which was sold to 100’s of vendors in the UK will find remixed version of the Paris Hilton music. Mixed by whom other then the new King of Pop Danger Mouse. You have to love it.

We’ll be in the living room.

Sacramento’s I mean the first of it’s kind (pretty much every where we’ve checked except Japan) is coming next month. Paragary has definately decided to do something new and we’re loving it. Pool tables, a 10,000 song library worth of requestable videos and first come first serve Video game “living rooms”.

Yes, you and your favorite crew of misfits can get a living room and play 2K7 basketball or Madden on the Xbox 360 until your buzz kicks in and the screen begins to go blurry. THELEGEND staff has already reserved a month worth of playing time so feel free to come and join us.

We’ll be the group with the pitchers and red eyes from staying up the night before.
