Smaller is better - Boutique Festivals

We know you’re looking forward to Lalapalooza, Rock the Bells (if you haven’t been already), and the rest of the festivals left for the season. What we want you to take note at (and make sure you check for even more next season) is the smaller festivals with great line ups and LESS PEOPLE!

I don’t have a problem with people but I would like to be up close towards the stage sometimes. Well here’s your chance if you’re in Portland or NY!

ATP New York Sept 19-21 (Upstate New York – 90 mins from NYC)

There is still some ticket availability for this awesome 3-day weekend in the mountains with MY Bloody Valentine and other amazing bands

Music Fest Northwest Sept 3-6 (Portland)
http://www.musicfestnw.com
4 days, 50- bucks. Best deal in America with bands like TV on the Radio. Vampire Weekend, Battles, Deerhunter, Mogwai, The Cool Kids, Polvo and just tons more.

Nice shiner Charlie!

I’m really likin the new Panther vid! Portland has been THE city for good indie rock vids, and this one’s no different! From their 1st album for label Kill Rock Stars, 14 Kt. God, this one was directed by Wyld File (checkout the other video they directed for Beck’s Gameboy Homeboy). The black eye on lead singer Charlie Salas-Humara is a nice touch!

Simply Gutter!

If you haven’t heard the Lifesavors (big up Portland) are hitting again this year and we’re eager anticipating the interview (Gutteryfly Hitting in April). Until that time we got a remix of Dead Ones that got leaked, we heard the whole album and it’s fire but have been instructed not to share until further notice or our listening privileges will be revoked. We know you want us to keep hearing music before the masses so we’re going to comply. This is just a taste of what’s to come.
