LEGENDmag TV Presents: Movement ‘08: The Detroit Electronic Music Festival

In this episode of LEGENDmag TV, Sabina Fowler and David Luu take us deep into the party at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival! Let’s take a look:

DEMF took place over three days on Memorial Day Weekend 2008 (May 24-26), and included 100 of the planet’s best DJs performing on 5 seperate stages in Detroit Michigan. Over 75,000 people showed up to dance, party, listen to music, attend more than 50 after-parties, and enjoy the weather (just kidding about the weather…).

DJs we highlight in this episode (in order of appearance): Par Grindvik, Aaron-Carl, Darkcube, Kenneth Thomas, Magda, Richie Hawtin, DATABASS Ghetto Tech, Davide Squillace, Dieselboy & MC Messinian, Dubfire, Kevin Saunderson, Lee Burridge, Paul Ritch, James Zabiela, and Oscar Mulero.

LEGENDmag TV features Maker Faire 2008 in San Mateo, celebrating all things DIY/homebrew!!

LEGENDmag TV headed out to cover the Maker Faire and ran into our old friend Ernie, from littleyellowdifferent.com! Come with us on a fantastic journey through the seemingly neverending exhibit halls, race tracks, and proving grounds and explore the Maker Faire!!

PS: In case you were wondering about that amazing techno giraffe at the end of the episode (I fell in love with it and had to get it in the video), his name is Russell and he is an electric giraffe with a wonderful story. Today on LEGENDmag TV: Yuri’s Night 2008, A World Space Party Heats Up at NASA Ames Research Center!

LEGENDmag was out at Nasa Ames Research Center at Moffett Field in lovely Mountain View to attend the second annual Yuri’s Night World Space Party! The event started last year as a celebration of the first person in space, Yuri Gagarin and similar events happen simultaneously around the world. Think of it as Burningman-meets-science fair with a sprinkling of NASA-rave thrown in for flavor… totally fun, yet a little peculiar.
